Andy Bean has nearly 30 years experience in the golfing industry. Besides once competing on the South African amateur and professional golf tours, his expertise in the golf industry ranges from golf product sales, both wholesale and retail; golf club management to golf course design, construction, maintenance; as well as a knowledge of the golf ecommerce and internet space.
Andy is a Master PGA Professional who still loves his golf and plays off scratch. His other past-time is walking in the bush on golf courses, looking for birdies of the feathered kind.
Rachel Bean has grown up immersed in the world of golf. She has taken her golf clubs on a global tour, with international experience (South Africa, China, Norway and Germany) in sports goods research & innovation, project management and sales.
As part of AGM’s family-owned vision, she has brought fresh and innovative perspectives to AGM.
Catherine Bean is the least sporty one in the family but provides the support and foundation upon which the company flourishes.
Having been taught to play golf by one of the world’s premier golf professionals (her husband!), she has picked up her golfing expertise by osmosis over the past thirty-one years. She plays comfortably off a 21 handicap.
While living in Mauritius, Catherine started expanding the business, and having returned to South Africa, has remained as the manager of the Mauritius market, while supporting Rachel with the general running of Africa Golf Management.
Africa Golf Management (AGM) has been 2bU’s agent and chosen partner in the Southern African market for over 6 Years. Their focus has primarily been in the premier on-course golf shops in Mauritius, but recently and for the first time they have also made inroads into South Africa and Norway.
